Garden Makeovers were tasked by a client in Crookston earlier this year to redesign their front driveway to give it a fresh lease of life.
Their old driveway design looked its age; unlevelled slabs, missing chips and overhanging shrubbery didn’t compliment the excellent property behind it all and created a claustrophobic environment which wasn’t a true representation of the space available. Our designers pitched the idea of creating a more open plan feel which would maximise the space available and transform their compressed driveway into a sprawling, beautiful space.
Our client requested something low maintenance which was cost effective and able to house more than one vehicle. We identified driveway chips as the best solution and presented our client with a variety of driveway chip colours to ensure they had a wide range of options to choose from, with them settling on our initial recommendation of a grey/white blend which complemented the exterior of their home and those surrounding it.
After landscaping the area to clear the old driveway chip, hedges and other shrubbery, we proceeded to level the existing driveway slabs and cleaned them as a cost effective alternative for our client. Afterwards, we were able to install the new driveway chip hand-chosen by our team, and completed the remainder of the driveway with new stonework to house flowerbeds so our client could present their favourite plants at the front of their property – a job well done which all parties were pleased with.
